How can you tell if a child has reached their language development milestones? Each age should be reaching certain language milestones in order to be successful in their language development. Below are some ways to promote language development and achieve these milestones!
BIRTH- 2 YEARS:
-Interested in listening to voices
-Repeating vowel sounds
-Babbling sounds
-Understanding common, everyday words
-Vocabulary begins to develop
2- 6 YEARS:
- Advance in vocabulary
-Understanding how to listen
-Building narratives
6- 1o YEARS:
-Able to pronounce words fluently
-Good listener, able to comprehend stories
-Able to hold and participate in conversations
