There is so many stages that occur from the moment of conception to a moment a baby is born into the world. At the moment of conception, a woman's body starts to prepare for the new life growing inside of her. If we break this down into three main stages you have the formation of the zygote, the embryo, and the fetus.
Zygote: combination of the chromosomes from the female’s ovum and the male’s sperm.
Embryo: during this phase the "baby" will start developing after the second week and through the eighth week after conception. During this period, the body starts developing along with features and the organs.
Fetus: The formation of the fetus takes place during the ninth week until birth. During this phase the baby starts developing sensory abilities, brain structures, and vital organs.
